Entry #18: 4 My People

I have got used to the new glasses, the headaches now are not being caused by my vision but frustration at a new system I'm trying to work with at work. After work I've been trying to keep away from the keyboard.

Last week I still ended up doing some stuff but for another Web site I'm involved with. All the while I was aware the date since the last blog posting was getting further into the past. I wondered if the decreasing frequency of blog entries indicates a loss of interest, but I think it's just a case of other priorities. I have done some work on my site but nothing that much noticeable on the front-end.

On Thursday I went for a couple of drinks at the local with my dad. I see him at most once a month, a lot more than it used to be. He gave me the first two seasons of “'Allo 'Allo' on DVD he'd got for me, which is the first present I've had off him. I said to him it's one thing I got interested in because of him, another being Thunderbirds. I had the Bank Holidays off, I used Good Friday to give the bathroom a thorough Spring clean after its redecoration last week got it messy. The Spring cleaning didn't continue into my bedroom, I just can't get around to that!

I got my hair cut a bit shorter on Saturday and didn't resist going into Woolworths. I always end up buying some music and since the new player DVD's have been thrown into the mix as well. The major purchase was Paolo Nutini's album 'These Streets', I love 'New Shoes'. I then went to Hannah's in Altrincham for a bit of a party and barbecue. I hadn't seen Hannah for over a month so a catch-up was definitely overdue, plus I hadn't spent time with the rest of the crew for a while.

I stayed there until Monday afternoon, after drinking beer and wine, eating unhealthy meat-based food, talking about whatever with whoever, and finally dancing to some cheesey pop with Mark as he was there with his new girlfriend Sarah. Another new pairing is Claire and Elliot, Elliot being Hannah's brother and Claire a friend of Hannah's via Steven. Poor me, all single, violins…. Quite a number of us should be out this Saturday to celebrate my 23rd birthday, which is the day after on the 15th.

I didn't get tickets for the Dancing on Ice Tour in the end, and I think I'll Spring clean this blog by updating on what did or didn't happen with some other things. In entry #2 I said this year I'd learn to drive, get back to the gym and maybe quit smoking. Well in a couple of months I will have cleared my overdraft and if I resist going on a spending spree it's more of a priority that I buy a new computer than to start sorting out driving lessons.

Going back to the gym could happen, but not. In entry #6 I talked about how I'd decided not to come out at work. I think everyone knows now through picking up on it or whatever, but still I can't be bothered being open about it. I really want to keep that separate. Also in that entry I posted about how my chastity belt had been on for a while and that belt came off briefly in entry #9. A week after that I met a guy in entry #12 called Rob.

We've since texted each other a bit and chatted on Messenger. I now know that he's 18 and studying performing arts. In entry #10 I pondered about procrastination and feeling overwhelmed. Since then I'm a bit clearer and more confident about things, but part of the problem is I don't know exactly where I want to go. I akin this to driving to a certain county but not knowing which particular city to aim for, although in my case I'd be using public transport.
